My name is Adam Rogers and I am the Worship & Administration Pastor here at Arley FBC.  I grew up at Arley FBC from the time I was 5 years old, until I graduated from Meek High School and moved to Florence, AL to attend the University of North Alabama.  Jesus Christ SAVED my soul and made me whole when I was 8 years old.  I met my beautiful wife, Amy, while attending UNA and we’ve been married since 2005.  God blessed us by allowing us to adopt two handsome boys; Isaiah is 7 yrs. old, and Gideon is 6 months old.  I became the bi-vocational minister of music in January 2008 and answered the call to full-time ministry in January 2016.  I love traveling with my family and seeing new places, singing, playing the trumpet, as well as golfing and shooting guns.

Favorite Verse:

Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart

And do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He will make your paths straight.

I serve as Missions Pastor here at Arley First Baptist Church. This has been an enjoyable experience for me since beginning this ministry almost five years ago. For the past sixty years I have served in ministry in Southern Baptist Churches, forty-six of these years as a Senior Pastor and as interim twice.

I was raised on a Blount County farm.  I was saved at age fifteen and called to preach at age nineteen, three months after marrying the love of my life, Betty Joyce Morrow. She has been my partner in ministry, my encourager, my helper, my love and the mother of our children. Our sons, Mike and Darryl make us proud in what they do. They have also given us eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Our daughter Janna, a dedicated Christian girl, was a wonderful blessing to us until her accidental death at age sixteen.

While serving in pastoral ministry I was able to get the education I needed to be the best pastor I could be. I received a B.A. From the University of Alabama, a M. Div. and D. Min. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Winfield First Baptist Church, where I served the last twenty-five plus years as Senior Pastor elected me as Pastor Emeritus upon my retirement.

I continue to do what I love doing, namely serving in my church. My desire is to serve Him until He calls me home. Joyce and I are glad the Lord has given us this ministry.

We love Arley First Baptist Church.

I was born and raised in the great state of Arkansas.  I moved to Alabama with my parents during my junior year of high school in 1986.  I attended the University of North Alabama where I received my degree in Social Work.  My wonderful husband David and I have been married since 1998 and we have two amazing sons who love the Lord – Andrew, 18 and Aaron, 16.

I came to know the Lord and was saved at the age of 8 while attending GA camp in the summer of 1978.  It has been an honor to serve as Children’s Director at Arley First Baptist for the past 5 years.  My greatest joy is teaching the children and watching them grow in the Lord.

I enjoy being outdoors, being active, attending the church and school events that my sons involved in and traveling back to my home state of Arkansas spending time with my family and friends.
